Dionne Drew is the Director and Principal Consultant of her Hard Hat Mentor consultancy supporting on site leaders, teams and individuals to face the challenges presented in FIFO –fly in fly out and remote workplace environments. HHM also supports women in male dominated environments. In her 30 years of resources/construction industry experience she has celebrated her 18th, 21st and 40th birthday in a donga and expects her 50th milestone will go the same way.
She has held many roles coming up through the ranks over the years, experiencing the organisational and work front culture’s, behaviour and mindset from various perspectives including; Boots on the ground worker, leading hand, front line supervisor, sub-contractor (grubby subby), principal contractor, Safety/Training Advisor, Senior leadership/culture advisor, EPCM representative, and Client representative.
Her Hard Hat Mentor consultancy works collaboratively with organisations to acknowledge and address the brutal fact that remote work presents a unique set of challenges to every team and individual on site. She assists them to continually improve their performance in: operational excellence, risk Intelligence, leadership capability, positive cultural influence, personal relationships/communication, understanding and embracing diversity and thriving in a remote work environment.
